Needle book and Wedding

Hi all!
Well I've gotten some more done on the wedding chart.

I have been trying to stay working on this for the most part so I set aside my DH's Ganesha.

Memorial Day was spent in my Father's pool with my sister and several of her friends, my kids, my Grandmother and my step-mom.  We had a nice cookout and a big juicy watermelon.

Today started out nice. I was working on getting all the stuff together for the last meeting of the Girl Scout troop for this year.  It's the Court of Awards ceremony this Thursday.  All the girls will get their last badges and my helpers etc. will get their thank you gifts.

Of course Murphy's Law struck and in the process of cleaning out a box trying to locate some items needed I tripped over the step and twisted my ankle.   I had ice off and on my ankle for the rest of the day. My work has been put off to tomorrow.

The hidden silver lining was that on Monday I got the remaining thread needed for the Needle Keep that I am making for an ILCS exchange, so I was able to get a lot done on that today while I was playing invalid.  I will have to post pics once my partner gets it in the mail.  Let me just say I am trying something new for it and I am thrilled with how it is turning out.  I think she'll love it.

School ends next Friday and I really hope things settle down for a bit so I can breathe.

I keep repeating to myself something I heard my Grandmother say when she was alive.   She'd always say under her breath that she'd finally rest when she was dead.  It used to upset me to hear it but now I understand the meaning behind it.  It's a harsher way of saying live life to the fullest and pack every minute with wonderful things.  I find myself uttering this phrase and suddenly gaining the energy to continue on.  It is a crude mantra but it works.  She continues to surprise me, over 20 years since she has passed.  She was so full of life and I know without a doubt that she is sitting on Heaven's beach sipping wine and watching the waves roll in.

Book Fair, Wedding and Ganesha

I am still crazy busy.  I am volunteering at a local book sale.  Now volunteering is an incorrect definition.  I get paid in books.  These are mostly kids books but being that my daughters are avid readers, this saves me a fortune.  It is only 3 days but they are long tedious days.

I have some progress on the wedding chart I am trying to finish for June.
I might just finish it in time. Wish me luck!

I also started a Ganesha for my Hubby.

I have a small bit of his trunk done.

I hope to  get back to my HAED very soon.  Next week is the last meeting of Scouts until one weekend event and then summer camp at the end of June.  I am just dying to get back to it as I enjoy it so much.
I hope you are are having more luck working on your stitches.
Hugs!

TUSAL

Here's this month's TUSAL.  As you can see not much added to it as I have been very busy with everything else.  I have been making good progress on the wedding chart for my SIL and I'll post pics of that tomorrow when I make my regular post.

I'm so Dizzy!

I have been stitching just a small bit on my SIL's wedding chart.

I have been doing many other things including finishing up the school year for my eldest daughter's homeschooling, helping my mother with a large party for her nonprofit organization (I made flower arrangements, boutonnieres, the programs, and making a good portion of the food tomorrow) , finishing up the year with the scout troop meetings, and handling my husbands usual chores as he is down with some unknown illness (no doctor has yet to discover what's making him feel "icky"). So all is the same as last posting on his health.

I am trying very hard to relax each night with a few stitches at least.  It really helps me settle down and let the room stop spinning. ;)
Wish me luck to get back to a regular routine soon.
Hugs All!

Busy Busy

Hi all,
I just wanted to let you know that I have been extremely busy with several different things.

My husband has some unnamed illness that no doctor can seem to diagnose.  He has been trying various homeopathic remedies and they seem to help.  He has increased his exercise regime in order to get his blood pressure under control and that also seems to help.  Despite all these things seeming to help he still has bad days where he is just worn out.    Because of this, he is unable to handle stress so I have been taking over his workload and dealing with all of his delinquent renters etc.

I now have his work, teaching my eldest her homeschooling lessons, the girl scout troop and general dealing with a 3 year old on top of keeping the house in order.  I have unfortunately little time for stitching.  I seem to pick it up to start do five stitches and fall asleep.
I miss talking with you all and I hope that very soon I'll be able to get back some personal time.
The regular scout meetings and school ends soon and I am looking forward to it.
